Description

Ready to step into the shoes of a biathlete? This introduction to biathlon takes your team into the world of this famous Olympic discipline. Guided by professionals, you will safely discover target-shooting techniques using air rifles.

The principle is simple: at different shooting stations, your goal is to hit all 5 targets on the block located 10 metres away, as quickly as possible. But speed is not everything! Every missed target results in a penalty: a short course that must be completed as quickly as possible to limit the time lost by your team.

The challenges become progressively harder. Start with prone shooting, move on to standing shooting, then take on the most demanding round: shooting while out of breath. For this challenge, participants first complete a course on foot or on snowshoes before reaching the shooting station. The aim is then to regain control of your breathing, stay composed and hit the target.

Focus, self-control, communication and teamwork all play a part. A Savoie incentive activity that takes your team out of its usual setting and adds a real sense of challenge to your seminar.

How the activity works

1

Discovering biathlon

Your team is introduced to the basics of this Olympic discipline and gets its first taste of target shooting with air rifles.
2

Prone shooting

We start with prone shooting. This first round gives everyone the chance to get familiar with the technique and aim at the 5 targets positioned 10 metres away.
3

Standing shooting

Time to change position! Participants must adjust their stance, take their time and stay accurate while trying to hit the targets as quickly as possible.
4

The out-of-breath challenge

Now for the most demanding round. Before shooting, participants complete a course on foot or on snowshoes so that they arrive at the shooting station out of breath.
5

Breathing control and penalties

The challenge is to regain control, manage your breathing and hit the target. Every missed target results in a penalty: a short course to complete as quickly as possible.
6

Team challenge

Round after round, everyone contributes to the team result. Communicate, encourage one another and work together to minimise the time lost to penalties.
