Description

Discover biathlon alongside professionals and learn the techniques of Olympic-style shooting with air rifles. Participants take their positions at different shooting stations and aim to hit five targets located 10 metres away as quickly as possible.

But every missed target comes with a penalty! Teams must complete a short course as quickly as possible, adding an extra challenge to the competition. Focus and breathing control become essential to stay ahead.

Several rounds gradually increase the difficulty: prone shooting, standing shooting and breathless shooting. During the final challenge, participants complete a course on foot or snowshoes before reaching the shooting station. They must then regain their composure and control their breathing to hit the target.

How the activity works

1

Discovering biathlon

Participants meet the discipline’s professionals, who introduce the shooting principles and safety instructions.
2

Prone shooting

The first round introduces participants to prone shooting, presented as the easiest position to start with. The goal is to get comfortable and hit the five targets.
3

Standing shooting

The difficulty increases. Participants must adjust their position, stay focused and aim accurately.
4

Breathless shooting

Time for the most demanding challenge! Participants complete a course on foot or snowshoes before reaching the shooting station. Out of breath, they must regain control and manage their breathing to hit the targets.
5

Managing penalties

Every missed target results in a penalty in the form of a short course. Speed and accuracy therefore become equally important for the team.
