Rafting with family or friends: which route should you choose?
Rafting is an activity meant to be shared. For a first-time experience or an outing with children (aged 8 and up), a trip through the gorges is ideal. If you are looking for more thrills, the rapids excursion features more intense whitewater and is designed for participants aged 12 and older who are in good physical condition. And if you want to take on the longest rafting run in France, choose the "full-length" (integrale) option, which covers all the river’s rapids and includes a journey through the magnificent Isère gorges.
No prior experience is necessary. Your guide will explain everything before you set off, and the crew will navigate together, following the guide’s instructions.

A fantastic family experience (with children aged 9 and 13). Everyone loved it.
The descent began at a leisurely pace, allowing us to try out different paddling techniques and positions. This was followed by some fun rapids that really got the adrenaline flowing. The more adventurous among us even took a dip (in 8-degree water) and tried some jumps (from 2 or 5 meters). The team was great!
We went on a "whitewater rafting" trip with our guide, Hippolyte. The atmosphere at the center was fantastic; we were warmly welcomed, and the instructions were clear. Everything—from parking and changing rooms to restroom facilities—was straightforward and convenient. A big thank you to Hippo, who is a very professional guide. The route through the rapids offers a great variety of scenery and different types of passages. There was even an opportunity for a swim and a jump, similar to what you’d find in canyoning. Perfect!
The instructor was friendly and provided lots of very interesting technical information. We did the full-length trip—about 2 hours on the water, featuring class 4 rapids. The changing facilities were impeccable, complete with toilets and hot showers (very welcome after being in 8–9°C water). We even returned with our family a few days later.
