Description

This is not a rafting trip where you simply sit back and enjoy the scenery. After a safety briefing, you set off for a 23 km descent on the Haute Isère. The river alternates between rapids and calmer sections, giving everyone the chance to find their rhythm on the raft.

But this is more than a standard rafting trip. Three challenges add a competitive twist: a timed section of river, a manoeuvring challenge involving buoys and a jumping challenge.

On board, everyone has a role to play. Paddle together, listen to the instructions and stay focused. Calm stretches can quickly turn into rapids, laughter and encouragement. A Savoie team building experience combining teamwork with the pleasure of being active outdoors.

How the activity works

1

Arrival and equipment

Meet at the Aime base and collect your technical equipment: full wetsuit, neoprene shoes and approved helmet.
2

Safety briefing

Before getting on the water, the professional guides explain the safety instructions and the key points to know for the descent.
3

Boarding

Teams get into the rafts, with 8 people per boat. A shuttle then takes you from the base to the starting point of the challenge.
4

Down the Haute Isère

Here we go for 23 km of white water! The route alternates between rapids and calmer sections. Everyone has a role to play to keep the raft moving.
5

The three challenges

Three highlights punctuate the descent:

Challenge 1: timed section — the rafts are timed on part of the river.

Challenge 2: manoeuvring — teams have to hit buoys positioned along the riverbanks after the Aime rapids.

Challenge 3: jumping — a final challenge adds another burst of excitement to the rafting experience.
6

Return to the base

After the descent, return to the Aime base by shuttle. Hot showers and changing rooms are available so you can finish the activity comfortably.
