Description
Snowshoeing is an accessible activity that allows you to discover snow-covered natural landscapes without needing to know how to ski. Designed specifically for the purpose, snowshoes make it easier to move across the snow, enabling you to explore routes suited to your skill level.
Whether you’re looking to enjoy a gentle stroll through the forest, plan a more vigorous outing, or simply experience the mountains draped in their winter coat, renting equipment offers you great freedom.
Rent your gear for as long as you like, choose a route suited to the day’s conditions, and set off to explore the landscapes of La Plagne and the "Versant du Soleil" (sunny side) of the mountain.
- Bring waterproof, high-cut hiking boots, warm clothing, a windproof jacket, gloves, a hat, and sunglasses.
Choose a route length and difficulty level that suit your physical fitness and experience. Marked trails are a good starting point for independent excursions. - In the mountains, weather conditions, snow cover, and avalanche risk can change rapidly. Check local information before setting out and stick to routes appropriate for the current conditions.
- Carry water, a snack, a fully charged phone, and a reliable map or route guide. Trekking poles can also help improve your balance on certain types of terrain.
A security deposit of €100 per pair is required, processed via a credit card pre-authorization.
If you are planning a route on unmarked or unsecured terrain, ensure you have safety equipment for avalanche risks: an avalanche transceiver (beacon), a shovel, and a probe. You must also be well-trained in how to use this equipment. Before heading out, check the avalanche risk forecast, weather conditions, and local recommendations. If in doubt, choose a marked, secure route or hire a mountain professional.
