Description

The concept is simple: each team must build its own push car using a kit provided by Takamaka. Seats, skis, bamboo, threaded rods, cardboard, screws, tape and more are provided to help you create a vehicle capable of sliding on the snow.

But creativity does not stop with construction! Each team also receives an envelope of fake money to negotiate accessories with the activity leaders: spray paint, markers, glitter, costumes, steering wheels, horns, stickers, hats, wigs and much more.

Once the vehicles are built and decorated, teams present their creations to a jury during the elegance challenge. Then comes the big race! After a qualifying round, the best push cars compete in the final.

How the activity works

1

Building

Each team receives its equipment and must design and build its own push car. Organization, problem-solving and teamwork are essential to create a winning vehicle.
2

Decorating

Now it is time to get creative! Teams customize their vehicle and use their fictional budget to negotiate extra accessories with the activity leaders.
3

The elegance challenge

Each team presents its push car to a jury. Defend your design choices with humor: a speech, a song, a dance… anything goes when it comes to convincing the jury!
4

The race

The push cars hit the snow for the big race. After a qualifying round, the best vehicles compete in the final. Teams must push and pull their creation from the starting line to the finish line.

FAQ

What is the snow push car challenge?

The snow push car is a team building activity where teams build, decorate and race their own vehicle on the snow.

What equipment is provided?

Each team receives a construction kit including a seat, skis, PVC tubes, threaded rods, cardboard, screws and different types of tape. Additional decorative accessories can be obtained using the fictional budget system.

Do participants need to be particularly sporty?

The activity focuses as much on creativity, problem-solving and negotiation as it does on racing. Teamwork is therefore at the heart of the experience, rather than physical performance.

Where can the snow push car be organized?

Takamaka offers this activity in several Savoie destinations, including Méribel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val Thorens, Val d’Isère, Valmorel, Tignes, Les Menuires, La Rosière, Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Albertville.

Yes. Takamaka suggests completing the challenge with a fondue lunch, available for groups of up to 30 people for the meal.
